Our Mission
To cultivate agricultural and Conservation literacy
among students, educators, and communities in
Madison County, Illinois.
Program HISTORY
Established in January 1996, the Madison County Conservation, Ag Resources and Environmental Education (CAREE) program traces its origins back to a dedicated group of agriculture enthusiasts. Their shared vision was to enhance agricultural literacy within the community. With a mission to promote a deeper understanding of agriculture's vital role, CAREE was born.
Over time, this non-profit initiative has grown and evolved, becoming an integral part of the Illinois Ag in the Classroom network. With unwavering dedication, CAREE has extended its reach beyond the classroom, fostering agricultural awareness throughout Madison County. Today, the program stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and community engagement, inspiring generations with the knowledge and appreciation of agriculture's significance in our lives.
We strive to foster an understanding and appreciation of the importance of agriculture and Conservation in our daily lives. Through engaging and interactive programs, resources, and partnerships, we aim to inspire the next generation to become informed consumers, responsible stewards of the environment, and advocates for the agricultural industry.
